America's love with Bordeaux wines was furiously high while Napa Valley was a young wine region. Jackie Onassis was known to drink Château Haut-Brion Blanc in the White House at the time. Napa's vintners undoubtedly studied Bordeaux's success and sought inspiration from the region.

To ensure optimal flavor, the grapes were hand-harvested in the cold early hours. The fruit was hand-sorted, softly de-stemmed, and lightly crushed at the winery. The wine was matured in 100% French oak barrels (30% new) for 19 months after a maceration period to maximize color and taste extraction as well as polish the tannins.

Black currant, violets, plum, and black cherries mingle with honey, pipe tobacco, cedar, cloves, and vanilla in this Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Bright blackberry, toffee, dark cherry, cocoa, hazelnut, and caramel flavors enhance the wine's delicious full body. With well-rounded, fine-grained tannins and crisp, balanced acidity, this Cabernet pairs perfectly with port-braised beef short ribs garnished with mint leaves.
