When Charlie and Lorna, along with their son Chuck, realized they could make a better livelihood by selling the high-quality "home" wines they had been creating from grapes grown on their property, they decided to go "all in" and formalize the family's long-standing heritage of winemaking. They opted to name their vineyard "Caymus Vineyards," after a Mexican land grant owned by George Yount that previously included their property.
It didn't take long for the father-son winemaking duo to start producing wines with depth and complexity. Their 1973 Cabernet Sauvignon was the wine that put them on the map. It drew the attention of wine critics, earning them praise and fame. The phone began to ring on that day, and it hasn't stopped since.
The Cabernet Sauvignon from Caymus Vineyards is a deliciously rich, juicy red wine from Napa Valley, California. Creamy vanilla, cedar, sweet tobacco, dark chocolate, sweet licorice, and blueberry pie flavors abound in this full-bodied wine.
Warm vanilla, plum, and boysenberry puree, and melted black licorice flavors combine in a rich, spectacular style with a highly creamy texture. In the end, chocolate flavors swirl around the fruit.
